Kropotkin’s Barbershop Podcast
Hello folks; welcome to the Kropotkin’s Barbershop home page. What is KBS? We’re a bi-weekly current affairs roundtable discussion show presented from a decidedly left-wing perspective. Always anti-fascist, anti-capitalist, and anti-racist, the KBS podcast is dedicated to imploding establishment narratives, ending the reign of neofeudalism, and winning an ongoing class war being prosecuted against poor people on a global scale.
Hosted by Nina Illingworth and Charles Minnich, each episode also features house scribe Chris Walker, as well as KBS producer Adam Scriven on the microphone for a podcasting foursome you won’t want to miss. Join us every fortnight as we shit talk rich people, capitalist realism, and the nightly news.
Our show is always always free to listen to and easy to find; you can hear Kropotkin’s Barbershop on Soundcloud, follow us on Twitter for episode updates, take advantage of our RSS feed, or subscribe right here on ninaillingworth.com to get links and show notes for every new episode of KBS.

Episodes
Pilot Episode: Bulls on Parade
“Is there anything more Americana than defending property? As it turns out, killing in the name of defending property; and it takes a village. Diving head first into a roiling ocean of Pork Reich exceptionalism, our crew examines what the cracker absurdist Kyle Rittenhouse trial, and the murder of Ahmaud Arbery, can teach us about vigilante justice and the white supremacist core of the American experience. Join Nina, Charles, Adam, and Walker for the pilot episode of Kropotkin’s Barbershop.”

Episode 1: For Domestic Consumption Only
“The business of war is fundamental to the existence of the Pig Empire, but does it really even matter where that war is, who it’s fought against, or if American forces ever fight? As Putin rattles sabers against Ukraine, and America authorizes emergency arms shipments, Nina, Charles, Adam, and Walker break down the economics of atomic terror, and ask what all of this mean for the labor class? The answer is, nothing good.”

Episode 1.5: Group Therapy
“After daring to suggest the CIA might lie to heat up a cold war in the Ukraine, we now ponder a new era of nuclear crisis spawning from Putin’s invasion of the nation next door. Condemning a fascist billionaire’s war of opportunity is the easy part; figuring out how the labor class survives yet another fossil fuel conflict between reactionary ideologues who’re armed to the teeth, is much harder. Join Nina, Charles, Adam, and Walker for an addendum to the first episode of Kropotkin’s Barbershop.”

Episode 2: Overdrive
“What does a far right assault on American schoolboards, a slow rolling Canadian coup attempt, and Greg Abbot’s war on trans kids have in common? They’re all an assault on democracy and our civil rights. As our crew learns in today’s show, anger doesn’t have to be popular to destroy our communities, and democracy itself – just add money. Join Nina, Charles, Adam, and Walker for the second episode of Kropotkin’s Barbershop.”
