Kropotkin’s Barbershop Episode 1.5: Group Therapy

Editor’s noteKropotkin’s Barbershop is a current affairs, roundtable discussion program from a left wing perspective. Hosted by Nina Illingworth and Charles Minnich, this bi-weekly podcast also features writer Chris Walker, and producer Adam Scriven. Always anti-capitalist, anti-imperialist, and anti-white supremacist, our podcasting foursome tackles life in a neofeudalist dystopia in a presentation you won’t want to miss.

Struggle Session

In my forty-five years on this earth, I still haven’t found a way to rectify my mistakes with an apology. While everyone in life eventually plays the clown, the only way to really make your errors right, is to get back to work and correct them. Why am I mentioning this now? Well, when you release a podcast episode saying “Russia will not invade Ukraine,” two days before Russia invades Ukraine, a simple “sorry” doesn’t cut the mustard.

In that spirit, I dragged the entire KBS crew back into the studio a week early, for a frank apology, and some unscripted discussion. Today, I present to you the product of that chaotic roundtable; Kropotkin’s Barbershop Episode 1.5: Group Therapy. Inside, Walker, Charles, Adam and I discuss what we got right, and wrong about Vladdy Putin’s invasion of Ukraine; before settling down to dissect what this means for labor class leftists going forward. Technocrats, tankies, and imperialist tools beware; our podcasting pack is on the prowl and ready to deliver the straight dope in a time of universal deception.

‘It is very silly to see a modern world full of billionaires, public-private partnerships, and the domination of private interests over the common good, through the lens of monolithic cultures and nationalist ideology.”

“After daring to suggest the CIA might lie to heat up a cold war in the Ukraine, we now ponder a new era of nuclear crisis. Join Nina, Charles, Adam, and Walker for an addendum to the first episode of Kropotkin’s Barbershop.”
