The War on Sharing: Pretending Is Not a Strategy
Editor’s note: The War on Sharing is an informal journal about my life as an anti-capitalist dissident in a burgeoning Pig Empire police state, during a time of normalized fascist reaction. Given the deeply personal nature of this writing, please consider citations to be arbitrary, profanity to be praxis, and slang to be artisanal.
Denial, Deception, and Decrepitude
Well folks; as I mentioned in a recent schedule update, I am currently up to my eyeballs in a project to ultimately expand the amount of free content available here on ninaillingworth.com and my other blogs. Unfortunately, that in turn has caused me to fall behind on researching and writing the next episode of No Fugazi; not to mention the impact it’s had on my lax at the best of times housekeeping. As such, you’ll have to forgive me if I keep today’s teaser short and simple.
This edition of The War on Sharing arouse out of a poorly organized series of Twitter threads I posted yesterday evening. While policy wonks bemoan the death of Joe Biden’s supposedly progressive agenda, and crypto-fascists argue that antifa is the real menace to freedom, the Republican Party has openly engaged in a campaign to install fascist one-party rule. And sadly, neither the media, nor the larger liberal establishment has any idea what to do about it.
“Please allow me to assure you that this behavior is neither random, nor isolated. You don’t go to all the trouble of tearing down our (admittedly shitty) democracy and demonizing your opposition as devil-worshipping pedophile cannibals simply to soothe the hurt feelings of one reality TV star President who happens to be a fascist manbaby. Having seen that the centrist establishment has no power or will to punish the perpetrators of a fascist coup attempt, the American right is now coming for the whole ballgame during this next election cycle; and pretty much everyone in the ruling classes knows it, even if they won’t say it.”
