Film Sessions: And All The King’s Men on Media Madness

Time Travelling In The Age of Amnesia

Well, that was the opposite of fun. As you may have noticed I’ve been waylaid by the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune for about two and a half weeks, and as such I’ve been entirely unable to write. How outrageous? I caught a flu, that I knew was a flu, and still had to quarantine for two weeks because of difficultly scheduling an appointment for testing during a lockdown period where I live. Once my fever finally broke and I could think again, it turned out that my residence was being gang stalked by fascists, who were probably cops, for something that near as I can tell had nothing to do with me or anyone I live with. I’m pretty sure the incident is over, but folks shining high beams in your window for forty-five minutes at 2 AM in the morning, and sitting around in cars directly across the street from your house all day is oddly unnerving, even if you haven’t done anything wrong.

Given that I’m feeling better and my newfound admirers appear to have lost interest in me, I figured the best recourse was to just get back to work like everything was normal; and so here we are. Unfortunately, we live in Hellworld, and the accelerated news timeline in the modern Pig Empire can make anyone who stopped looking at it for a couple of weeks, feel like the proverbial stranger in a strange land. So I’m going to simply start where I left off, because I still have a lot to say about the vital importance of driving not just the swine emperor, but all his fascist co-conspirators, and the vast swathes of the “mainstream establishment right” who have backed the fascist project at every turn, completely out of public life. Impeachment has done nothing to stop the fascist virus now embedded in our mainstream establishment, and there’s no reason to believe the January 6th commission will be any more effective. If fascism is to be thwarted in America, clearly it’s on us to remember the names and crimes of those who enabled not only the fascist coup attempt on January 6th, but the rise of Pig Empire fascism as a whole – and for that, we’re going to need to turn to Cody Johnson from Some More News, and the delightful folks at The Serfs for help.

Whether it’s because they’re in a jail cell, or as a result of extreme social and professional shunning – none of these people should be on my television after what just happened here and in the ensuing fallout, from again, a literal fascist coup attempt.”
