Film Sessions: A Cheater’s Week on Media Madness
Editor’s note: Film Sessions is a weekly feature on my Media Madness blog, in which I share, analyze and expand on a relevant video from the left wing of Youtube.

Today’s edition of our weekly Film Sessions feature is a bit of a weird one. Owing to the fact that I’ve scheduled more work for January than I can possibly complete, I finally fell “behind” this week. To try and make up some time, I decided to pick a creator I wouldn’t have to introduce for this video and ultimately settled on professor Richard D. Wolff; who some of you will remember from my “Film Sessions: Does Capitalism Really Reduce Poverty” post just a couple of weeks back.
In order to compensate for taking shortcuts however, I decided to include not one, but instead two great Richard Wolff videos this week. First up, from Wolff’s YouTube channel we examine “Wolf Responds: What Biden’s Immediate Economic Program Should Be” a video that offers three objectively achievable, wholly pragmatic steps Palooka Joe Biden can take to help American survive the coronavirus fallout. Then, we take a quick look at the latest offering from The Gravel Institute, also staring professor Wolff, in which they explain the hidden truth your boss doesn’t want you to know – namely that under capitalism, wage labor is theft.
“If you remember back in the Spring when America was being lead by a reality TV show fascist who tried to pretend Covid wasn’t even real, even quasi-mainstream observers were talking about coronavirus signaling the end of capitalism as we know it; and yet today, as the bodies climb even higher and the crisis (both social, and economic) deepens, those same folks would call professor Wolff’ suggestions here too extreme? Hell no; Biden asked the country to give Democrats control of the Senate so he could fight Covid-19 and restore the economy. Well he now has the House, the Senate and the Oval Office – it’s time to stop pretending a mask mandate on federal property is a real solution and put the people’s money, where Palooka Joe’s mouth has been.”
