Educational Endeavors

Whelp, this is a little awkward; as in the case of our last Book Blog post, this extremely short November 21st, 2020 piece over on Can’t You Read is more of a “quotation and blurb” than a book review. I must confess that my primary purpose in sharing it was to post that banging Trotsky quote and provide myself a citation link for later, much longer articles about Pig Empire fascism. The upshot here is that the post does in fact include a link to the complete contents of Leon Trotsky’s “Fascism: What It Is and How To Fight It” courtesy of marxists.org; and this incredibly short collection of materials from numerous Trotsky pamphlets is well worth the read, even today.

“While it’s certainly true that a small portion of the material is quite dated and Trotsky’s analysis ultimately remains incomplete, this pamphlet still offers a remarkably effective entry-point towards grasping a Marxist analysis of fascism, as opposed to a more standardized (and in my opinion, less correct) liberal historian analysis of fascism – and it does so while ringing in at a mere fifty or so pages.”
