Blog: Thunderdome 2020 & How I Write About Politics (Link)
Editor’s note: as part of the massive site re-organization I’m doing in the new year here in 2021, I’m transferring some offsite writing and links to such, over here to ninaillingworth.com. I’m mostly doing this for readers who want a way to find “all of the articles” I’ve written in one place; at least in so much as that is possible. Although I’ve back-dated this post to December 2018 when it was originally published over on my Patreon Blog, if this produces an unwanted notification in your inbox – please forgive me in advance.
If there’s anything I’ve learned from all this it’s that there really is no good time to try and go back to gather up posts you left on other websites.

Ah, late December 2018, otherwise known as “back when I thought the neoliberals in the Democratic Party couldn’t possibly screw Bernie out of the nomination twice” – those were simpler times; in Mayo Pete’s incubation days and before Liz Warren knifed the left. Unfortunately, as painful as those memories now are, this informal blog post also describes my general theory of writing about politics during an election, so it’s worth including a link to here for later reference.
