Essay: Death of the 41st President of the United States of America (Link)
Editor’s note: as part of the massive site re-organization I’m doing in the new year here in 2021, I’m transferring some offsite writing and links to such over here to ninaillingworth.com; including this snarky Obituary about George Bush the elder. Mostly I’m doing this to satisfy readers who’ve requested a way to find “all of the articles” I’ve written in one place; at least in so much as that is possible. Although I’ve back-dated this post to December 2018 when it was originally published over on my Patreon Blog, if this produces an unwanted notification in your inbox – please forgive me in advance.
If there’s anything I’ve learned from all this it’s that there really is no good time to try and go back to gather up posts you left on other websites.
In late November of 2018, George Herbert Walker Bush, otherwise known as “Poppy” to those unfortunate enough to have been his friend, finally shuffled off his mortal coil. I sat down to offer a thoroughly-cited, obituary-style essay explaining why nobody will miss, or even in all likelihood, remember him.
