Info Meme of the Week: President Oh-Bomb-A
Editor’s note: well, after what feels like a million stops and starts I’m genuinely back now. Frankly, very little has changed in my life since we last spoke; my cat is still stick, I still have to move from my home of ten plus years sometime early next year and I’m still pretty sure the entire world is going to hell in a hand-basket at unfathomable speed. Despite these problems however, it has slowly begun to dawn on me that life is going on without me and at some point I’m going to have to do things like “pay rent” and “buy food” – which means it’s about time I ended my current struggle with seeping ennui and fear.
Unfortunately, just because I now *want* to write a bunch of essays doesn’t mean that the ole magic has returned, but I’m slowly rounding back into form and I’m finally plucking away on that piece about secret drone bases and undeclared wars; it’s just going to take a little while to get back up to snuff. In the meantime, I’d like to make an effort to catch up on “my lost month” as it were by releasing a series of Info Meme of the Week posts that cover some of the scandals I’ve been quietly dreading (but not writing about) the last little while. Although I’d rather you not quote me on it, I’m going to try to release an Info Meme (of the Week) each day, every day for the next little while to get back into the groove of things.
Obviously, these memes aren’t much of a substitute for long form essay-crafting, but I’m feeling a tremendous amount of pressure to cover a lot of ground in a very short amount of time after such a long period of sporadic posting; these posts are designed to look at one issue largely being misreported in the media in the form of an easy-to-share meme that’s backed up by verifiable sources underneath the photo. Today’s Info Meme concerns a subject I’ve wanted to talk more about for a very long time and helps to set up the essay I’m working on now – 2009 Nobel Peace Prize winner Barack Obama and his never ending struggle to spread violence, death and war across pretty much the entire planet.

As always, please feel free to post this meme anywhere you like and remember that you can provide sources to skeptical observers simply by linking them to this post; auntie Nina has all your “owning neoliberal, shitweasel propagandists online” needs covered, my fellow pinkos. 🙂
Seriously however, the real value of an Info Meme post is the ability to communicate a small number of facts that are currently being obfuscated in the media in the clearest, most brutally honest method possible; for any of that to work, people need to actually share the memes.
Thanks in advance for all your help, please accept my apologies for my recent absence and most importantly – keep reminding people in your life that the emperor is a bare-assed fool.
